Adding Text

This tutorial will show you how to add text to your graphics.
Open up a image that you want written.

Adding Text- Basic Stage
Look at the left hand side of the program. Find the "A" symbol near the bottom of the toolbar. Hover on top and it should read "Text Tool (T)".

Original Image Text button

Click on this and select a font that you want to use. If you don't know how to install new fonts, check under "Tutorials" above the "Paint Shop Pro" link that you clicked on. In other words, click on "Fonts". Anyway, click on the image that you want the text to appear on. Now write something.

Pop up text box

To change the style formatting of the text look at the above toolbar where it shows all the text stuff. To change colour, highlight what you want changed and click on the "materials palette" (the colour box on the right hand side) and click on a desired colour. Or you could also pick a colour from the image by clicking on the "background and fill" box, (the second box on the right of the colour box). Look at the screen shots below.

I suggest that you change/keep the drop down menu on the above text toolbar to "Vector". This makes moving your text easier, and can be resizable. Once happy with the changes of the text, click "OK". You should have somthing like this.
